Culture in Small Town USA!

Occasionally our rural community gets treated to a night of cultural arts which is always a treat. We happened to be in town for one such event the other night. Flyers were prominently placed on walls, windows and tables advertising the event, making sure that none would miss.

The planning and practice, for this event to occur, took a long, grizzly and enduring 10 minutes, which made for a spectacular evening of culture.

The costume was exquisite and required a refastening every few seconds. Hands were held over the heart for a few bars of our countries anthem. The ability to multi-task- playing an instrument, twirling and kicking all at the same time, made us stand in awe.... wondering, how all of this talent could be in yet, only one, eight year-old child? Amazing!

The evening was superb and will be held in our memories for quite some time!

As I see it said...

What a wonderful cultural event that must have been to attend! How nice of Maya to share her talents with the folks in Fort Mohave. I love her beautiful costume!
