Rainy Weekends

We have had a wet and rainy weekend. I know that to most of you this isn't a big deal. To us, however, the weather rarely changes so rain to us is a big deal. In fact, at school many of the grades graph the weather. Looking at their graphs show that we have had no snow, 2 days of rain, 5 days of wind and the rest have been sunny. We have been in school now for more than a 100 hundred days, so you can see that the weather hardly changes.

So, this was the perfect weekend to make a big pot of soup, corn-bread muffins and finish some much needed projects around the house. Everyone pitched in to clean the house in the morning. Thanks guys! Then the girls filled their afternoons with friends, Derrick did paperwork, and I hand-sewed several ripped items and watched girly girl movies that were showing on tv.

It was the first Saturday, in a long row of Saturday's, where we had nothing scheduled. Rain, soup, projects, and family time......Perfect!
