Love Fest

Love has been in the air this weekend at the Voss home. The day started with personalized messages from Derrick on the sidewalk and car, and heart-shaped waffles, pink milk, and a decorated table from Me.

Attention then turned to our yard for some tender loving care. It was a beautiful day in our neighborhood. Blue, sunny skies, weather without wind, around 70 degrees, absolutely perfect. We actually skipped chores for awhile to go on a long and leisurely bike ride. It was fun! A lot of love was given to our yard, and it is looking better. (I can't wait until our landscaping is completely finished.)

Landscaping was cut short due to the MyMy needing some good ole maternal and paternal loving. The MyMy was sweeping out her playhouse when she decided to go down the slide with the broom and the two collided. The broom came out alright, but the MyMy ended up with a swollen, black eye that needed one stitch. Our dear sweet neighbor gave some loving service and stitched the MyMy up at his office.

Today, we are making heart-shaped sugar cookies to give away to those we love and appreciate in our neck of the woods. Our hearts go out to those who don't live close by and please know that we love you too.

Happy Valentines Day!
