Spring Break-Revisited

Because of the generosity of my parents, the girls and I were able to fly to Pasco, Washington to visit Grandma and Grandpa while they are serving their mission.

Grandma and Grandpa's mission is surrounded by the waters of the Columbia River. We were able to enjoy many activities along the river such as feeding the geese, and playing along it's beautiful parkways.

We traveled with them to their zone conferences in Vancouver, Washington. While there, we were able to tiptoe through the tulips in nearby Woodland, Washington.

LuLu, Grandpa and myself visited the old Vancouver Fort. LuLu earned her Junior Ranger badge and watched the blacksmith make a nail.

We saw many waterfalls as we traveled and stopped at this one to view. The view was lovely, the mist was refreshing, yet cold, and the sound was amazing!

We also enjoyed seeing Mt. Hood, Mt. St. Helen's and Mt. Adams as we traveled.

(Mt. Hood is in background)

We enjoyed the blossoms on the tree's, and everything else to do with spring.

We had a wonderful time meeting missionaries, seeing the beautiful surroundings and visiting with family. We are grateful for such wonderful examples and unending love.

Projects!

At the Voss household we decided to start many projects that will keep us busy during Spring Break!

Now my question is- Who is going to finish those projects?

Any takers?

Oh My!

I can't believe it! We woke up late this morning. So rare! It was 8:55 by the time our eyes focused on the numbers on our alarm clock. How could this be? We can't even do this on weekends! No time to reason, no time to contemplate. Hurry, get out of bed, get dressed quickly, and wake up the girls.

"Hurry LuLu, we have 5 minutes before school starts. If you are late, you will miss the AIMS test!" Derrick quickly yelled.
"Oh crap!" LuLu replied anxiously hopping out of bed.
"MyMy, we overslept. We have 5 minutes before school starts. Get up now!" yelled Derrick hurriedly.
"You scared me daddy! I don't want to be late for school. Miss Jensen promised a surprise first thing this morning." the MyMy replied, jumping out of bed ever so quickly.

Three minutes later, I came running down the hall with wet hair, shoes in my hands, and yelling for the girls to gather backpacks and shoes and meet me in the car.

We got to the car. The LuLu's beautiful hair still had the crazy morning look. The MyMy was upset that she didn't even have time to brush her teeth. Both Myself and Derrick were profusely apologizing for our blunder.

I opened the garage, backed the car down the driveway and then Derrick and I yelled "April Fools Day!"

You see, it was April 1st and it was only 7:00am. Ha, Ha, Ha, we got them!

Still shell-shocked and stunned, the girls lingered in the car trying to catch up with their adrenalin.

A faint call from the MyMy was heard......."What kind of parents are you?"

With a smirk on our faces, and a high-five to one another, we realized that getting a compliment such as that was music to our ears!

Happy April Fools Day!
